ROLE

Wealth Management Advisor

This Wealth Management Advisor role is with a nationally recognized retirement planning and tax firm that generates two to three qualified, pre-educated appointments a week for every advisor. They're looking to add two Series 65-licensed producers with five-plus years experience in financial services and a real closing record who want to be handed prospects rather than hunt for them, trained personally by the founder, and move onto production comp as fast as they can earn it.

Job description

Our client is a nationally-recognized retirement planning and tax firm that's served over 5,000 families over 22 years through a team of advisors licensed in 40 states. The founder hosts a weekly program on CNBC and has published a book the firm sends to prospects before an advisor ever speaks with them. The recognition is external and recent: Inc. Best Workplaces 2025, Inc. 5000 2026, and BBB Torch Awards for Ethics in both 2019 and 2024. Their model is education-led and fiduciary throughout, and the firm is scaling rapidly, from roughly $10 million in revenue last year to a target of $65 million within five years.

Most advisor roles ask you to bring a book, build a pipeline, or both. This one doesn't. Advisors who come here from other firms say the same thing: the leads here are nothing like what they had. Our client invests heavily in a unique process to screen and qualify clients before you ever meet with them.

This is not a role for someone who needs to be taught the work. The firm hires A-players and will only bring on great teammates. You need your Series 65 active on day one and three to five years in financial services with a real record of closing. You also need to be genuinely comfortable with annuities as a retirement income tool.

Preferred but not required: an insurance background rather than a purely securities one; a CFF or NSSA designation, which the firm pays for if you don't hold them; and familiarity with planning software, RightCapital in particular.

One thing to be clear about before you apply. The firm owns the client relationships, whch is designed to create a client-first mentality on the team. If what you want is a portable book of your own, this is the wrong seat, though if you have an existing book, they're open to buying it.

What makes this role unique?

  • Appointments are generated for you. The firm invests roughly $200,000 per advisor per year in marketing, with qualification, education, and scheduling all handled before you're involved.

  • Paraplanners build what you present. The client sends documents after meeting one; the planning team turns them into the mini plan you deliver in meeting two. You are not building reports at night.

  • A client service advisor takes the paperwork. When documents go out, they join the call, get introduced, and own the relationship from there. You're not chasing DocuSign, you're in front of the next prospect.

  • Direct access to the founder. He has stepped back into production specifically to develop these two new advisors and run appointments alongside them. Every advisor currently succeeding at this firm was trained by him.

  • Compensation designed to be outgrown. The base is a bridge. Once you're producing $12–15K a month you convert to incentive comp, and the firm will help you make that happen in five months rather than nine.

  • Credentials paid for by the firm and completed fast. CFF and NSSA inside your first 60 days, fully covered, not a multi-year CFP track that keeps you out of production.

What you will do

  • Run two to three new client appointments per week from firm-generated, pre-qualified leads.

  • Lead discovery focused on retirement concerns and goals rather than traditional fact-finding.

  • Present the firm's mini plan — Social Security analysis, tax and portfolio audit, and holistic plan.

  • Move to documents by the second or third meeting, and set the next appointment at the end of every meeting without exception.

  • Complete the CFF and NSSA designations, typically within your 60 days.

  • Work in RightCapital, HubSpot, Orion, and Zocks.

  • Come into the Viera office periodically for coaching and joint appointments, and travel to St. Louis for onboarding weeks and quarterly off-sites.

The ideal candidate

You've spent at least five years in this industry and you're good at the part that matters, which is sitting across from someone and asking for the business. What you're tired of is everything around it. Maybe that's the overhead at a wirehouse quietly eating your production. Maybe it's the fifth year at a firm where the salary steps down and the expenses step up. Maybe it's just the quality of who's on your calendar.

Asked to name the single most important trait for this seat, the firm gave a one-word answer: ambition. But they were equally clear about the other half of it. They want someone who closes hard and still does right by the client, and they screen against people who are only one of the two. A pushy advisor is a liability at a fiduciary firm. A conflict-averse one doesn't produce.

You should also want to build something alongside other people. Business development, paraplanning, and client service are all part of your day here, and the founder was direct that someone who wants to run their own show alone will not fit. That isn't culture language for its own sake as the entire model depends on the handoffs working.

And one specific thing, because it's the fastest way to lose the firm's confidence: leaving a meeting without setting the next one. Asked what distinguishes a good advisor from a great one here, that was the whole answer.
