Job description

One of the fastest-growing firms in a major national wealth management network is hiring a Lead Advisor to join a high-performing, nationally recognized practice. This is a remote role with a real book from day one — you'll take over a set of client relationships that fill roughly half your week while simultaneously building your own pipeline in the other half. The firm works extensively with technology professionals navigating complex stock compensation, and the platform behind you includes national media presence, a culture built around excellence, and genuine room to grow.

This is not a seat for someone who needs hand-holding or is looking for a soft landing. The firm is growing fast and expects the people who join it to grow with it.

You must have

Series 7, active on day one. This is a hard requirement.

3 to 7 years of wealth management experience. You need to already understand the work — client management, planning conversations, and the ability to operate independently without close supervision.

Active prospecting ability. Roughly half your week will be filled with inherited client relationships. The other half is yours to build. The expectation is that you have a network you can tap into and can generate your own meetings.

Strongly preferred

CFP certification or active progress toward one. The firm will reward it in compensation

.

Stock compensation fluency. The client base skews heavily toward technology professionals with complex equity situations — RSUs, ESPPs, NQSOs, and the planning that surrounds them. Candidates who already speak this language will have an immediate impact.

What makes this role unique?

  • A real book from day one — inherited client relationships fill roughly half your week immediately, so you're producing rather than prospecting from zero.

  • Compensation that moves with performance — base up to $100K+ for the right candidate, commission estimated at approximately 20% of base in year one, with real upside as you build.

  • A nationally recognized platform — the firm has a significant media presence, is one of the fastest-growing practices in its network, and brings a level of credibility that opens doors for prospecting.

  • Remote with real support — you have the independence of a remote role backed by the infrastructure, brand, and culture of a high-performing team.

What you will do

  • Take ownership of a set of B and C level client relationships from day one — approximately 20 meetings per week — managing them with the same standard of care the firm is known for.

  • Build your own pipeline in parallel, prospecting within your existing community and network. The expectation is that you can fill roughly half your calendar independently.

  • Deliver comprehensive financial planning and investment advice to a client base that includes a significant concentration of technology professionals with stock compensation needs.

  • Operate as a self-directed professional within a collaborative, high-performing remote team — managing your time, your calendar, and your client relationships without needing day-to-day oversight.

  • Give and receive feedback openly as part of a team culture that takes professional development seriously.

The ideal candidate

You've spent 3 to 7 years in wealth management and you're good at the work — but you're ready for a seat where your ceiling isn't someone else's decision. You have a natural community around you, whether that's a professional network, a geographic one, or an industry one, and you already think about how to turn those relationships into clients. You don't need to be told to prospect; you need a platform worth prospecting for.

You're comfortable with complexity — stock compensation, equity planning, and the financial lives of high-earning professionals aren't intimidating to you, or you're hungry to get there fast. You manage your time like it's your most valuable asset, because in this role it is. You take feedback well, give it directly, and don't confuse being collaborative with being passive.

What the firm is not looking for is someone who wants to inherit a book and coast, or someone who sees this as a bridge to something else. The right person sees this as the opportunity to build something significant inside a platform that's already proven it can win — and wants to be part of what comes next.
