Job description

Run the integrations that fuel the firm's growth.

Our client is a fully independent RIA with private equity backing and an active acquisition strategy. When a new office signs a Letter of Intent, the clock starts — and this role is the person who runs the clock. From repapering and CRM migration to technology onboarding and billing alignment, the M&A Integration Specialist owns the firm's 13-page integration checklist from deal close through full operational handoff, working across internal teams, the acquired firm, and the firm's Managed Service Provider to get each integration across the line.

This is a new seat, purpose-built as the firm's acquisition volume has grown to a point where dedicated integration ownership is the next logical step. The first 90 days are about learning the process thoroughly. By year one, you're running integrations with support from the operations manager and internal team. Over time, you're improving the playbook and helping establish the metrics that define what a successful integration actually looks like.

What makes this role unique?

  • A mandate to improve, not just execute. You'll manage the current checklist and be expected to make it better — building playbooks, tightening timelines, and developing the metrics that tell the firm whether an integration is succeeding.

  • Meaningful variety built into the role. Active integration cycles (typically 90–120 days from deal close) alternate with process improvement and playbook development. You'll always be doing both.

  • A firm with real momentum. Private equity-backed, actively acquiring, and investing in the infrastructure to support continued growth — this role exists because the firm is building toward something significant.

What you will do

  • Own the end-to-end integration process from LOI through full operational handoff, managing the firm's 13-page integration checklist across every acquisition.

  • Coordinate repapering, CRM migration to Orion and Redtail, technology onboarding with the firm's Managed Service Provider, and billing alignment to the firm's fee schedule.

  • Set up due diligence files and track integration milestones, escalating issues to the COO, the operations manager, or the head of advisor success as needed.

  • Navigate decisions with acquired firms on timelines and process — professionally, constructively, and without losing the thread.

  • Travel to acquisition sites for onboarding visits, typically 2–3 days per engagement.

  • Develop and refine integration playbooks between active cycles, and help establish quantitative and qualitative metrics to track integration success over time.

  • Collaborate day-to-day with the COO, the operations manager, and the head of advisor success.

The ideal candidate

  • Wealth management industry experience is required — this role demands an understanding of how advisory firms operate, how custodial and CRM systems connect, and what it feels like to be on the receiving end of a platform migration. Candidates from outside the industry will not be considered.

  • Strong project management discipline — you'll be running multiple workstreams simultaneously across a 90–120 day cycle, and nothing can fall through the cracks.

  • Tenacity and constructive pushback skills — acquired firms don't always move at the pace you need, and this role requires you to hold the line without damaging the relationship.

  • Monday.com experience or comfort with structured project management platforms.

  • Detail orientation and organizational rigor — the checklist is 13 pages for a reason.

  • Willingness to travel for site visits, typically 2–3 days per engagement, 3-4 times per year.
Experience having personally lived through a firm acquisition from the acquired side is considered a meaningful asset.
